Our costume range of Acid-Free Storage Boxes are ideal for Wedding Dresses. Totally acid-free, as would be required by museums, the white lignin-free bond interior guarantees total protection against discolouration. Extra reinforced metal edges at the corners, to protect against accidental damage, combined with 60 point blue / grey boxboard, create a very durable box which is supplied already made up, so is stronger than flat pack, self assembly boxes. (Our box sizes are detailed below).
Your box would be supplied together with 20 sheets of Unbuffered, Acid-Free Tissue Paper. Used for liing the box, supporting any folds and for creating a body shape by stuffing, these large, white tissue sheets will help to protect against creasing. Our tissue is 'unbuffered' which means it does not contain any calcium carbonate (often added to tissue) which could discolour some textiles and could affect metallic thread. Our tissue sheets are 760 x 475 mm (29¾" x 18¾").
