The larvae of Carpet Beetles feed on wool, hair, feathers, fur, leather and wool-containing carpets / upholstery.
Best placed on windowsills, as adult beetles are attracted to light, this pheromone trap is designed to catch the male beetles, thus removing them from the breeding cycle. This trap contains pheromones to catch the Anthrenus species such as the Varied, Guernsey and Small Carpet Beetles, and pheromones suitable to catch Attangenus species such as the Two Spot.
The best time to set the traps is in the Spring (March - April) as the adult beetles are most active in the early Summer. A single trap will cover a radius of about 15' (5 metres), and should remain active for up to 6 months.
The pheromone lures, supplied in a protective sleeve, should be kept refrigerated before use.
